The right piece is not only Beautiful, It is Responsive. It makes you feel more alive.
Trust me to make the one of a kind piece, to tell the one of a kind story that, will touch your heart forever.
Here is an example:
Dear Todd and Trinette,
I was so delighted to create this one-of-a-kind painting for you. When Marissa approached me about creating this painting, she told me what a beautiful, solid couple you are and how you had managed to navigate tough times yet remain strong and resilient in your love and commitment to one another. She shared with me several views from your lake house which she told me was a place of peace and refuge for you both and I adapted one of my favorite images. We collaborated on some of the elements to be included and how they were to be presented. The image is set in autumn as you are growing into a season of ripeness, maturity, and fruitfulness in your relationship on your 25th anniversary!
The yellow (especially in the conjunction of the blue of the lake) is a symbol of clarity. It is a very powerful color also linked with connection, continuity, enlightenment, and protection. The golden oak was chosen as a symbol of abundance, strength, and longevity. I was also told that you both love the loon, a symbol of communication and romance. The repeated themes of abundance, communication, connectedness, and wisdom are layered throughout the image as not only a recognition of how far you have come on your journey but as a blessing for its future. May this image now grace your home infusing it with the same sense of peace and refuge as your “away place”. May happiness pursue you all the days of your life. This is only the beginning!
And another one:
This piece was lovingly commissioned for you by your sister
Trinette. It is a celebration of your family and the love you share with
Leonardo. I hope you see and enjoy yourselves in this piece.
The rosebush is intertwined with three vines harkening to the
passage of Ecclesiastes 4:2 which states in wisdom “a cord of three strands is
not quickly broken”. These strands stand for yourself, Leonardo and, the
powers of strength and force of the universe which led you to one another and intertwines
within your story even to the present moment. They may also represent the
three of you (you both and your daughter) as you are bound together in love.
You are represented by the emerald hummingbird and Leonardo
by the topaz geode at the base of the plant. The golden circle is a symbol of
completeness and indicates a commitment springing from a divine origin.
The jet streams above signify both you, Leonardo, and your daughter as you
adventure on your journeys in various trajectories.
The moon is a sentinel, signifying observation, the marking
of time, and change and development. The moon bears witness to the
fixedness and growth of your love below as well as the trajectories of your
spiritual journeys above. The moon is also symbolic of “timelessness” apart
from the earth’s domain. It is an influencer and a watcher which sees
your love both in terrestrial time and in “time outside of time”.
The setting is, of course, the Grand Canyon, a depiction of
the site where you first named and sought witness to your commitment to one
May blessings be upon you throughout all time and space in
both celestial and terrestrial realms!
“Plymouth Rock Love” These paintings were commissioned for you by your loving sister and family and hand-created just for you by myself! Known for their positive dispositions, hardiness, good parenting, and usefulness on the farm, Plymouth Rock chickens are some of the best and most popular chickens to have around! (Perhaps you can identify with some of these outstanding characteristics.)
Allow me to tell your story in the way that only my paintings can.

“Runner Up” This is one of a kind piece created just for you! Known for their comical appearance and loping gait, roadrunners were also known by the Hopi and other pueblo tribes as medicine birds who could protect from evil spirits. Unlike many birds, roadrunners are zygodactyl, meaning they have two toes in front and two in back. This results in their unusual X-shaped footprints believed to ward off evil spirits because they conceal the direction of which way the roadrunners were headed. Stylized roadrunner tracks have been found in the rock art of ancient Southwestern tribes like the Anasazi and Mogollon cultures, as well as being considered a sacred symbol in modern-day pueblo culture. Indigenous Mexican and American Indian tribes, such as the Pima, considered it good luck to see a roadrunner.
“The Spirit of 1680” The spirit of 1680 was inspired not only by the local admiration of the state bird of the “Land of Enchantment'' (New Mexico) but also by the Indian Pueblo Revolt of 1680. The revolt was a carefully organized rebellion to the oppressive and violent dominion of Spanish conquistadors who had colonized the area since 1598. The Spanish invaders partnered with Catholic missionaries who forced the Puebloan people into slavery and conversion through religious oppression. Organized by Popé and led by the ancestral spirits, runners from each pueblo spread information between the various pueblo cities naming the future date and time of the overthrow. The pueblo people succeeded and maintained their freedom for the following 12 years.
